I see the world through Caribbean eyes. The lyrical colors, shapes and rhythms of my life growing up in a small village in Barbados influence all that I paint. Since my emigration to the United States in 1994, new influences such as contacts with other artists, museums, galleries and libraries are enriching my perception and opening new possibilities for expression. My goal is to communicate the beauty of my island and its people; in addition to the new places I am experiencing.
