Life begins as egg. In many cultures the egg is a central part of the creation story. The Cosmic Egg...the earth and sky from halves of shell, the sun from yoke, the clouds from white.
It can be a religious symbol of hope and new beginning, of re-birth and resurrection. The egg beckoning Spring flowers, Chocolate sweets & Summer garden settings.
It's familiar shape is, for me, a symbol of protection, nourishment and comfort, set against a harsh outside world. As one works on the surface an egg shape they find it has no beginning and no end, however structure can be easily found by the dozen.
