My paintings are not real landscapes, they are interior landscapes. They are full things I have experienced, longed for, desired, hated, remembered, obsessed over, and wanted to understand. It's all weaved together into a haunting image absent of logic, time or space. They are fantasies that the real world occasionally intrudes in on-- never perfectly beautiful or comfortable. I want my images to evoke many interpretations, many possibilities. They are meant to be visual metaphors that can be easily understood but not easily described in words.
