Artist Statement

Jane Chakravarthy:
There is no art without living and for being without the microscope of the mind, the understanding from the heart, and the embrace of the fire from the soul, for me, there is no life, only an existence.

Most of my art is, at least initially, serendipitous in construct. I'm inspired primarily by experiences and sometimes feel almost guided by the constructs I've perceived and create from them.
Whatever I'm traveling through, mentally, physically or spiritually, I seek to understand, explore and strive to make sense of it. Often my work is representative in one form or another from that metaphysical dialogue. I don't write a diary, just at times find myself painting one.
Creating my art, is a spiritual catharsis for me. I strive to let free my woes, to celebrate my oneness, and embrace our collective consciousness.

Sudi Chakravarthy:
There are no original pictures only perceptions of what was seen. Our view of the world is colored by how we feel, and were often too caught-up in the motion of things to appreciate the beauty around us. My photography aims to witness, feel, and capture the essence of those moments. Moments that are fleeting in time and may have physically perished, yet enduring in spirit and emotionally imprinted.

A consultant by profession, Ive honed skills in seeing and thinking creatively, and distilling complex information into intuitive frameworks. Photography for me is an extension of comprehending nature and capturing glimpses of reality at that moment, in a human perceptible form.
