Artist's Statement

I have a line of jewelry that combines two of my passions-mechanical watch works and vintage jewelry. So, a little background, in the 1980's and 90's I had a vintage clothing store. That's where my passion and my knowledge stems from. My jewelry skills were honed over the years, as I pursued other interests after closing my store. 
I haven't felt so inspired in years. The endless variety of watches and vintage pieces never fails to inspire me. By combining them each are elevated and unique.

I like to use everything, with as little waste as possible. So after  I take  the mechanical watches out of the watch bands to use for my jewelry, I save them to make bracelets. I use little charms or bijoux in the watch cases. I even have a full set of typewriter keys and Scrabble tiles for special orders. I also make a variety of pendant necklaces with the same mid 20th century design aesthetic.
